Our Founder - Cody DeWeerd
With nearly 20 years of experience in the construction management field, Cody first sunk his teeth into multifamily residential construction as an Assistant Superintendent with The NRP Group in 1998. He went on to study Construction Systems Management and Business at The Ohio State University, and then gained valuable experience as a commercial Project Manager with a national general contractor, Hanlin Rainaldi Construction.
He took his education and experience and founded Tremax in 2011, where he's built a reputation as the next generation of high volume drywall, painting, and carpentry companies. That reputation has been established through transparency, hard work, and finding a healthy balance between the old-fashioned mindset and modernized construction.
Some of his most notable projects include Chapel #3 demolition at the Andrews Airforce Base near Washington DC, Breakwater Bluffs Apartments (306 units) in Cleveland, OH, Wal-Mart in Portage, WI, The View on Grant apartments (86 units) in Columbus, OH, and a renovation of the Historical Masonic Lodge in Worthington, OH.
He's currently on a mission to check off all the boxes in the National Parks passport with his wife and son. He has a love for the outdoors, and when he really needs to get away, you can find him (or not) backpacking for several days somewhere far from civilization with his brother-in-law.
